The Farplants Group are the trusted outdoor plant supplier to hundreds of garden retailers throughout the UK, growing over 11 million plants a year. Our customers can choose from over 2000 varieties, all of which have been selected for their outstanding performance, sell-through and bench appeal.

We’re looking for Seasonal Area Leaders to join us on a fixed term contract for approximately 6-9 months. The Seasonal Area Leader will support the smooth and efficient running of one of the UK’s leading wholesale suppliers of outdoor plants.

The Seasonal Area Leader has the responsibility to oversee the workflow of their allocated team(s), assigning tasks, supporting and developing team members to be competent to undertake their role, monitoring performance against standards and working with the wider team whilst maintaining our positive and collaborative culture to ensure that we are doing everything Right First Time.

Required skills, experience and qualities:

· The ability to multi-task

· Organised

· Ability to learn and work with internal digital systems

· Minimum 2 years leadership experience (managing a minimum of 5 people)

· Previous experience working within a factory experience is desirable but not essential

This is a fixed term contract working 30 hours a week.

Area Leaders are required to work 5 out of 7 days, which will generally be Sunday to Thursday, but on occasions (due to holidays or sickness), you may be asked to work other days. Working hours are generally completed between 7am and 8pm, depending on the length of the shift.

On offer is an hourly rate of £10.65 per hour and overtime at 1.25 for any hours worked over 44 hours a week.

This role is based at our Finishing Centre in Barnham. Which is easily commutable from Chichester, Bognor, A27 Corridor.
